Auditions – All Shook Up

All Shook Up_Version 2bAll Shook Up is a musical comedy built around a number of songs made famous by Elvis Presley. It’s not a biographical revue. It takes place in 1955, somewhere in Middle America, where one girl’s dream and a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger help a small town to discover the magic of romance and the power or rock & roll. The show is about mistaken identities, youthful rebellion and love (based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night). The musical features such Presley classics as “Jailhouse Rock,” “Heartbreak Hotel,” “That’s All Right,” “It’s Now or Never,” “Love Me Tender,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “All Shook Up.

Performance dates: August 2-17, 2013

Cast List

WARNING – READ THIS FIRST BEFORE YOU LOOK AT THE CAST LIST!!

I want to thank everyone who attended auditions for All Shook Up. I was so impressed with everyone and very grateful that you wanted to be a part of StarStruck! If you did not get into the show, it was either because you had too many conflicts or you needed more experience in musical theatre. If you are disappointed that you did not get the role that you had hoped for, I hope that you realize that we could have triple casted the show! That’s how much talent we had at the audition. The ensemble in this show is comprised of many talented people who have been leads at StarStruck, and their high school theatres. So I think it’s safe to say that this ensemble will be similar to the caliber of a Broadway show. Nancy, Jeanne, and I recognize how amazing you all are and we will do everything in our power to make this show an amazing experience for ALL of you! Congratulations to the cast!!

Important information: Please email Starstruckoffice@gmail.com to accept or decline your role by Sunday April 21!
