Everyone’s favorite practically perfect nanny takes the stage in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure.
One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect musical! Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven TONY Awards, including Best Musical.
Bert, the jack-of-all trades, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”
Mary Poppins is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers, and astonishing stagecraft that makes this the musical that soars high above the rest. Believe in the magic of Mary Poppins and discover a world where anything can happen if you let it!
Performances will be July 25 – August 9 at the brand new Dublin High School Center for Performing Arts.

A Letter from Lori Stokes, Founder & Artistic Director
Dear Friends of StarStruck,
2015 marks StarStruck Theatre’s 20th anniversary season, and it’s been an exciting year so far!We saw unprecedented ticket sales for Seussical the Musical in January and we are looking forward to bringing Mary Poppins to audiences as our summer main stage production. All the magic will come to life as we bring our StarStruck touch to the classic story. With this production comes a pretty significant change for our company that we want to share with you.
As you know, Ohlone College’s Jackson Theater has been StarStruck’s performance home for the past ten years. When the college’s academic year ends in May, the Ohlone College campus will close for renovations, and we will be unable to perform at the Jackson Theatre over the summer. But we are excited to announce that the brand new Dublin High School Center for Performing Arts and Education will play host to StarStruck this summer! Completed in 2014, the theater is a beautiful, state-of-the-arts facility which can fully accommodate StarStruck’s needs. We are very excited to share some StarStruck magic with our neighbors in Dublin and the Tri-Valley area!
What does this mean for you?
Patrons can expect the same StarStruck quality they have experienced these past twenty years. We are 100% committed to upholding our reputation for outstanding musical theatre. Our main office and rehearsal studios are still in Fremont; all of our classes and rehearsals will remain in the same location. In fact, patrons will not experience any changes at all until July 2015, when Mary Poppins opens in Dublin. It’s just a short 20-minute drive from Fremont to Dublin High School where you’ll find ample, free parking just steps away from the theater’s front door!
We consider patrons to be a part of the StarStruck family, and we hope that you will continue to support us as we celebrate twenty years of exceptional musical theatre.
Here’s to twenty more years!
