Please collect the following info before completing the form:

  • Actor headshot/photograph (Picture should be only of Actor from waist up)
  • Actor conflicts

Prepare: Please prepare a 1-2 minute song from a Broadway style musical. Pick a song that shows your range (vocal and emotional). Tell us a story through music. There will be a chance for you to go over your music with our Music Director at a “practice audition” the week before your audition time. The link to sign up for a practice time will be on your Audition Confirmation email. If you can’t make a practice time, there will be a few minutes for you to speak with the music director before the singing portion of the audition.

A short dance routine will be taught at the audition.

A short reading from the script will also be provided at the audition for the actor to perform.

What to Bring: Bring sheet music with the piano accompaniment (right and left hands, be sure the notes are not cut off the page) two-sided rather than one-sided music is much preferable, please. Place sheet music in a hardback (not floppy) 3-ring binder. Jazz shoes (or tennis shoes) including tap shoes, clothes you can move in.

Arrive: 10-15 minutes early to process your paperwork.

Ages: You must be 9-19 at the time of auditions. Ages outside of range must get special permission from the Director at

Locations: Rehearsals will be held at the StarStruck Studios and the performances will be held in the Jackson Theatre at Ohlone College in Fremont.

Conflicts: Please keep conflicts to a minimum. Conflicts will play a significant role in the casting of this show.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will start on Tuesday, October 1. Typically, the schedule will be: Sundays @ 3-8:30p, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays @ 6-9p. A specific schedule will be given out after casting. Not everyone will be needed at every rehearsal.

Fees: Tuition Fees are $650; Costume Fees are $150. Limited scholarships are available, contact the StarStruck office for more information.

Family Commitment: StarStruck Theatre expects performer attendance at all scheduled rehearsals. We will provide a weekly schedule with specific call times, but performers must be prepared to rehearse up to four days each week. We also require each family to contribute a minimum of 20 volunteer hours over the course of the production. There will undoubtedly be personal, family, and school events that will need to be missed because of being cast in the show.
