    Conflicts

Performers are expected to attend every day of camp. If your student will miss any part of you session dates or times, please let us know by emailing education.starstruck@gmail.com prior to registering.

***Please be honest about any potential conflicts (including any late drop off/early pick-up) you may have during rehearsals. Students with one or two conflicts CAN be admitted, as long as we're notified in advance of camp. Unfortunately, due to the high number of camp applications that we usually receive, adding conflicts AFTER you're registered to camp may result in your child losing their spot in camp.***

    Safety

We are so excited to welcome our students back to the studio this summer. All in person camps & rehearsals will adhere to current CDC and Alameda County guidelines as they undoubtedly shift. Our regular StarStruck staff is on track to be fully vaccinated by May, teachers/students will be masked at all times, with our roll up doors open, air purifiers on, and generous amounts of sanitizing! In the event that Alameda County numbers go back up, we will reach out to you, most likely with an online alternative. Should you have any questions or concerns, please email Courtney at Education.StarStruck@gmail.com

    Meet the Instructors

Hilary A. Stevens (Online lead instructor) has been part of the StarStruck family since 2012 teaching student favorites such as Mini Musical, Putting on a Play, and Improv both online and in person. A graduate of Shenandoah University, she holds a BFA in Theatre for Youth with a minor in Voice. Before moving to the Bay Area, Hilary taught youth at Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, Florida and Indian River Community College. She is thankful to be safely online this summer as she prepares to welcome the newest StarStruck star to the world this July.

Brian Loh (Online Camp Counselor) is really excited to be a part of the staff members at Starstruck, because he himself has been performing in Starstruck shows for the past 8 years. Some of his favorite roles include the Tin Man from the recent Wizard of Oz, Rafiki from the Lion King Jr. and Specs from Newsies. He has previously been a TA for Winnie the Pooh Kids and loves working with kids. He is not currently vaccinated as he is not 16 yet, but he does plan to be by June.

Garrett Deagon (In-Person lead instructor) is thrilled to join StarStruck as a fully vaccinated guest instructor this summer. A BFA Musical Theatre graduate of University of California, Irvine, Garrett has a unique past of both professional acting and child care. As an actor, he was recently on the National Tour of Annie as Rooster and in Mamma Mia! on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. As a child care provider, Garrett has been a tutor for students with special needs, professional clown at children’s parties, and most recently a child care provider to the stars in New York City and Los Angeles.

Gabi Garcia (Camp Counselor, July 12-30)  has had the pleasure of performing in StarStruck camps and main stage shows for the past 10 years. Her favorite acting/dance roles include Tommy Boy in Newsies (2019), specialty dancer in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (2018), and specialty dancer in Footloose (2017). She has 16 years of dance experience in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, contemporary, modern, and lyrical. She is currently a member of the UCSC Dance Team. She worked with StarStruck previously in 2019 as a counselor for Annie Jr, and in 2018 as TA for Winnie the Pooh Jr. She also has 2 years experience working as a dance TA at Jazz N Taps Dance Studio in Pleasanton, CA, where she has taught tap and jazz. She is planning on being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to June 14th.

Frankie Jensen (Camp Counselor, June 14-July 30) has been performing with StarStruck for 11 years. She was most recently seen on the StarStruck stage flying high as the Wicked Witch of the West. As a teacher assistant and camp counselor she has assisted with Willy Wonka Kids, Aladdin Kids, Annie Jr., and A Year with Frog and Toad Kids. She has already been fully vaccinated and is so excited to spend her summer at the StarStruck Studio.

Amabel Loh (Camp Counselor, June 14- July 2) has been with StarStruck for 9 years, as a performer, technician, and a TA/camp counselor. She has performed in shows such as James and the Giant Peach (Ladybug), Newsies (Mush), and Curtains (Georgia). Amabel has worked as a camp counselor for Lion King Jr., a TA for dance at StarStruck, the Assistant Choreographer for the recent Wizard of Oz, and has helped with various other small classes. She will be vaccinated by June, and is looking forward to working as a camp counselor this summer!
