START (Student Training in the ARTS) Classes

START – Student Training in the ARTS – is a non-profit, tuition-based teaching program for individuals interested in gaining and developing their skills in the performing arts.

Policies

  • Register online using our online registration system (note: each class description has a dedicated link to the respective registration pages).
  • Please complete the Emergency Medical Form and bring it with you to the first day of camp
  • Payment in full for each class will be made through the online registration system. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards

Once we receive your enrollment materials, we will send a confirmation email. Once a class has met the minimum enrollment requirement, we will send an additional enrollment confirmation email.

LATE POLICY: We ask that you drop your child off no earlier than 5 minutes before the class period; this time is important for the teacher to prep.

Please be prompt at picking up your child from class. Being late has a huge impact on our staff. All of our teachers are also performers and must get to nightly rehearsals themselves and StarStruck does not have resources for aftercare. We understand that traffic and other activities can be an issue, but please plan accordingly.

There is a 10-minute grace period after class with a $2.00 fee for every minute thereafter.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact our START Manager, Hilary, via email at hilary.starstruck@gmail.com.

Theatre & Voice Program

At StarStruck we believe in providing an environment where students continue to be appropriately challenged, and build the beginnings of a life-long love of dance, music, and theatre. Our classes are designed to foster creativity, build self-esteem, and instill self-confidence through exploration in the arts. They provide a basis for communication, leading to life long skills that will prove invaluable whatever life choices they make.

Most classes will culminate in a sharing the final day of the course to present the work that has been created in the classes. This sharing is open to family and friends.

Dance Program

Our dance program offers dance classes that are geared towards musical theatre performance. Dance is an essential part of musical theatre training and allows young artists to go from the studio to the stage. Some intermediate classes are open by instructor approval only.

*We have dance classes for beginners thru advanced!

Our dances classes are progressive. We take training very seriously and it is our goal to prepare our students for the challenges of the main stage productions and to be able to audition well. It is crucial for each student to take responsibility for keeping up with lessons. Missing classes often puts a student far behind and interrupts the training of the entire class. Please sign-up for classes only if you can commit to the entire session.
