Creative Movement

In this introduction to dance, students will explore the basics of movement. We will have fun inventing new ways to move around, learn foundational dance technique, and perform a short dance routine for friends and family at our final class meeting. Group Singing

In this introduction to musical theatre, students will explore the basics of singing. We will have fun singing 2 to 3 musical theatre songs, playing music games, and performing for friends and family at our final class meeting. Dance for Musical Theatre

Dance for Musical Theatre (Ages 9-18)

In this 10-session class, students work on musical theatre jazz technique and combinations while gaining strength, flexibility, and endurance with StarStruck’s MainStage choreographer Francesca Cipponeri. Whether your student has taken just one dance class or has been enrolled at StarStruck for years, ALL StarStruck students are highly encouraged to enroll in this class every semester!

Students enrolled in dance for the Winter 2024 semester should enroll in the same class for Fall 2024. If your student has not previously enrolled in dance at StarStruck, please reach out to Molly at education.starstruck@gmail.com prior to enrolling.

Tech Time: Mastering the Behind-the-Scenes Magic (Ages 14-18)

*NEW* Welcome to the world behind the curtain! In this hands-on course, students will dive deep into the art and science of technical theatre, learning essential skills that bring performances to life. From lighting and sound design to stagecraft and production management, this course equips aspiring theatre technicians with the knowledge and practical experience needed to excel in the backstage realm. This course is ideal for students passionate about theatre production, including aspiring stage managers, lighting designers, sound technicians, and set builders. No prior experience is required; just bring your enthusiasm for theatre and a willingness to learn!

Mini Musical

Mini Musical (Ages 8-12)

Mini Musical is the perfect place for both budding and experienced performers that love singing, dancing, and acting. In this class, students will put together a 45-minute musical that will conclude with a performance at the StarStruck Studio for friends and family. Students are expected to attend every class and study at home to memorize music and choreography. This semester, the Mini Musical class will be performing A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS.

About …Frog & Toad: A hit on Broadway, A Year with Frog and Toad was nominated for three Tony Awards – including Best Musical. Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books, and featuring a hummable score by Robert and Willie Reale, this whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons.

Junior Production: 13 the Musical JR. (Ages 12-14)

NEW! Junior Production is the perfect place for both budding and experienced performers that love singing, dancing, and acting. In this class, students will put together a 60-minute musical that will conclude with 4 performances at the StarStruck Studio. Students are expected to attend every class and study at home to memorize music and choreography. This semester, the junior production will be 13 JR.

About 13 Jr.: With a catchy rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, (Parade, The Last Five Years, The Bridges of Madison County) and a hilarious book by Tony winner Robert Horn (Tootsie, Shucked) and Dan Elish (13), 13 JR. tells a timeless story about fitting in - and standing out!
