    Dance for Musical Theatre (Ages 8-18)

    In this 9-session class, students work on musical theatre jazz technique and combinations while gaining strength, flexibility, and endurance with StarStruck’s MainStage choreographer Francesca Cipponeri. Whether your student has taken just one dance class or has been enrolled at StarStruck for years, ALL StarStruck students are highly encouraged to enroll in this class every semester!

    Students enrolled in dance for the Fall 2023 semester should enroll in the same class for Winter 2024. If your student is not currently enrolled in dance at StarStruck, please reach out to Molly at education.starstruck@gmail.com prior to enrolling.

    Kids on Broadway (Ages 5-7)

    In this introduction to musical theatre, students will explore the basics of singing, dancing, and acting. We will have fun creating our own “mini musical” with 2 to 3 musical theatre songs and perform for friends and family at our final class meeting. This is the perfect class for students who are interested in musical theatre but are not quite ready for the intensity of the Mini Musical Class.

    Acting Out (Ages 8-11)

    *BRAND NEW CLASS!* Join us for a stress-free (no homework!) environment, where students will have fun while gaining knowledge and exposure to the world of acting. They will learn the basics of acting by performing monologues, duet acting scenes, and readers theater. This is the perfect class for students who are interested in exploring acting and want to gain confidence to speak in front of a crowd.*Please note this class must have a minimum of 10 students to take place.

    Putting on a Play (Ages 12-18)

    Explore the fundamentals of putting on a play from auditioning to the big final performance! In this intermediate theatre class, students will focus on acting by exploring improv, drama, and comedy while rehearsing a 45 minute play. Students are expected to attend every class and memorize lines and blocking.

    Musical Theatre Workshop (Ages 10-13 & 14-18)

    In this advanced class, students will learn to critically evaluate musical theatre text and song while working on scenes and duets with a partner. Students will be involved in every aspect of creating their scenes and songs including creating blocking, choreography, props, and costumes. Students are expected to attend every class, complete weekly assignments at home, and memorize lines. **Please note students enrolling in this course must have had a speaking role in multiple 4-Week Summer Camps, performed in a MainStage production, or have special permission by both instructors.

    Mini Musical (Ages 8-12) 

    Mini Musical is the perfect place for both budding and experienced performers that love singing, dancing, and acting. In this class, students will put together a 45-minute musical that will conclude with a performance at the StarStruck Studio for friends and family. Students are expected to attend every class and study at home to memorize music and choreography. This semester, the Mini Musical class will be performing Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon KIDS.

    Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon KIDS is an adaptation of the fourth of Mary Pope Osborne's award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series, which has sold more than 100 million copies and is available in more than a hundred countries around the world.  This time around, Jack and Annie’s tree house takes them to an exotic island with pirates, where the two discover the power of friendship and the simple pleasures in everyday life.
