New COVID-19 Guidelines- Fall 2022 Classes: Proof of full vaccination OR weekly negative home test - Updated July 2022
OPTION 1:
All students eligible to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine must show proof of vaccination by first class meeting.
- Proof of vaccination: present your original vaccination card, a photo or copy of the card, or the California Digital COVID-19 Vaccine Record. You are considered fully vaccinated if it's been at least 14 days since your final vaccine dose.
All instructors and staff at StarStruck studios must also show proof of full vaccination.
OPTION 2:
Students who are unable to receive the COVID-19 vaccine may instead email a photo of the child’s negative COVID-19 test (labeled with student name, date, and time of test) to education.starstruck@gmail.com before each week of class. Tests should be taken the morning of each class meeting or, if enrolled in multiple classes, the first class of each week.
MASKING GUIDELINES for both vaccinated and unvaccinated students will be decided at a later date. Masks will be optional for final performances.

Monologue & Scene Study (Ages 10-18)
Whether you are a seasoned performer or just curious about theatre, this introduction to acting class is for you. We will focus on developing the basic acting techniques of characterization, role analysis, stage movement, voice, body control, individual monologues, and scenes with partners. Students are expected to attend every class. This course will have a final “sharing” for family and friends during the final class meeting.

STUDIO Improv (Ages 10-18)
Improv is an art. It is an approach to creating theatre without a script and being in the moment. Students will strengthen their skills in the art of “acting quickly” while focusing on the fundamentals of improv. Students will focus on theatre games and improvised scenes, while building active listening skills, communication with scene partners and letting loose on stage. Join us in saying “YES” to improv! NOTE: Students must meet one or more prerequisites to enroll in this course. Please complete the following application for a registration code.

Musical Theatre Dance (Ages 8-18)
In this 10-session class, students work on musical theatre jazz technique and combinations while gaining strength, flexibility, and endurance with StarStruck's new MainStage choreographer, Francesca Cipponeri. Whether your student has taken just one theatre class or has been enrolled at StarStruck for years, ALL StarStruck students are highly encouraged to enroll in this class!
About the instructor: Francesca Cipponeri is a dancer and choreographer in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has always loved teaching and has spent her dance career studying Jazz, Modern, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, and Aerial Silks. She recently received her Masters in Fine Arts in choreography from Mills College in Oakland, CA with an emphasis in modern dance and is currently a performer both in the dance and theatre worlds of San Francisco and San Jose, CA. Francesca has performed with the Buglisi Dance Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York, NY and with the SF MOMA. She strives to encourage her students to dream big and challenge themselves as a performer. She is thankful for her students as they inspire and remind her each day to dance with wonder and with joy.

Putting on a Play (Ages 12-18)
Explore the fundamentals of putting on a play from auditioning to the big final performance! In this intermediate theatre class, students will focus on acting by exploring improv, drama, and comedy while rehearsing a 45 minute play. Students are expected to attend every class and memorize lines and blocking.

Mini Musical: Frozen Kids (Ages 8-12)
Mini Musical is the perfect place for budding performers that love singing, dancing, and acting. In this class, students will put together a 45 minute musical that will conclude with a performance at the StarStruck Studio for friends and family. Students are expected to attend every class and study at home to memorize lines, music, and choreography. This semester, the mini musical class will be performing Frozen Kids.
